LICENSING CHECKLIST

 FOLLOW THESE STEP-BY-STEP IN ORDER

Fill out the New Agent Onboarding form: HERE (If you haven’t already)

STEP 1:
☐​ Schedule and attend the Unlicensed Agent Orientation: HERE
- This is a mandatory meeting for new non-licensed agents who haven't taken their state license exam.

STEP 2:
☐​ Schedule your exam date through your resident State's Department of Insurance Proctoring Service.
- Find your State Exam Instructions HERE
- Review licensing requirements by state: HERE

STEP 3:
☐​ Send exam receipt HERE to receive STUDY VOUCHER.
- Must contain your NAME and EXAM DATE
- How to use the study voucher

STEP 4:
☐​ Study for exam
- Complete all chapter quizzes. Pass your simulator exam before sitting for the main test.


STEP 5:
☐​ Get fingerprints done
-Google “Fingerprinting Services” or call & ask your state’s Department of Insurance


STEP 6:
☐​ Take – and Pass Your Exam!


STEP 7:
☐​ Submit exam receipt & fingerprints to the state: HERE
- Call your resident State’s Department of Insurance if unclear
- How To: Apply for your state license

STEP 8:
☐​ Get National Producer Number & State License
- Visit How to Apply for your State License and follow the steps to submit your license application.
- Call your resident State’s Department of Insurance daily & ask them to check on your progress to speed up the process. 
- You can find your NPN # HERE once you’ve received your state license number.
